Services Coordinator

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, Australian-owned builder with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-quality projects across a range of sectors. Known for their collaborative approach and strong culture, this is a business that genuinely invests in its people and long-term success.

With a healthy pipeline of work across Melbourne, they're looking to bring on an experienced Services Coordinator to support the delivery of key projects.

This is a pivotal role where you'll be responsible for coordinating building services from design through to installation and handover. Working closely with engineers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams, you'll ensure services packages are well planned, coordinated and delivered efficiently.

It's ideally suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across multiple interfaces and being right in the detail of project delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Support procurement of services consultants and subcontractors
• Coordinate services design to align with overall project delivery and methodology
• Manage interfaces between services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc.) and structure
• Track design progress and flag risks early to the team
• Assist with value engineering and practical delivery solutions
• Maintain services programmes and align with overall project timelines
• Coordinate authority approvals and connections (power, water, sewer, comms)
• Review shop drawings, installation plans and technical submissions
• Support testing, commissioning and handover processes
• Assist with sustainability targets (e.g. NABERS / Green Star)
• Coordinate defect identification and close-out

• Experience in a Services Coordinator, Services Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of building services coordination (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, comms)
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Strong communication skills with confidence dealing with consultants and subcontractors
• Understanding of sustainability requirements within construction
• Relevant qualifications or technical/trade background in construction or building services
