Field based Measurement Technician role supporting oil and gas production facilities in Carlsbad, NM, with hands on work verifying measurement systems and updating facility diagrams.
What are you going to do
This role supports oil and gas production facilities through field verification and technical documentation. The Measurement Technician will review and validate facility layouts, flow paths, and measurement points, ensuring diagrams reflect actual field conditions.
Responsibilities include visiting production sites, inspecting meters, tanks, separators, and piping, and updating facility flow diagrams and as built documentation using tools such as Muddy Boots Online, AutoCAD, or Visio. The role works closely with Measurement, Operations, and Engineering teams to support measurement accuracy, compliance, and audits.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Experience as a Measurement Technician, Lease Operator, or Production Technician
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas production facilities
- Hands on experience with measurement and production equipment
- Ability to verify flow paths, piping, and measurement points in the field
- Experience reviewing or updating facility flow diagrams or as built drawings
- Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to field locations
- Valid US driver's license
