Introduction

Brunel is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly profitable mining company for a Business Development Representative to support strategic growth in the Timmins region. This is a high-impact opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to develop a key territory, build strong client relationships, and contribute directly to the continued success of a respected leader in the mining sector.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in Timmins and the surrounding region, with a focus on strategic growth.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and procurement professionals within the mining industry.
  • Work in close collaboration with the internal mechanical engineering team to ensure the successful delivery, implementation, and support of custom-engineered pump solutions.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, supported by a performance-based commission structure that rewards results.
  • Deliver actionable market intelligence and client feedback to the Sales Director to support ongoing refinement of the regional growth strategy.
  • Professionally represent the company at industry events, trade shows, client meetings, and site visits, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in business development, ideally within the engineered pump solutions or related mechanical equipment sector.
  • Strong professional network within the Timmins mining and industrial market.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a consultative and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • French language skills considered an asset.
