Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently seek a Financial Analyst - JV Services to deliver transactional accounting and reporting services. This will be a 12 month contract located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD.

About this role

  • You will be part of a centralised Financial Services Team that prvides Joint Venture Accounting Services to all Finance Operations
  • Demonstrate a change and performance mindset and participate to achieve desired cultural outcomes
  • Contribute to delivering on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies as directed
  • Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Preparation of monthly Joint Venture expenditure statements and cash call requests
  • Preparation and posting of actual and accrual journals
  • Inputting operated and non-operated Joint Venture accounting and providing reports
  • Efficient generation and input of sales invoices
  • Calculation, lodgment, and payment of monthly and quarterly Overriding Royalties (ORR), Product Royalties and Primary Resource Rent Tax (PRRT)
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare audit data as required
  • Participate in process improvement projects across Finance
  • Additional activities as required by the Financial Controller
  • Compliance with the Corporate Governance and Safety requirements

Is this you?

  • Bachelor level qualification in Accounting, Commerce or an equivalent field
  • Qualified Accountant (ICAA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Previous professional working experience
  • SAP Finance system knowledge
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skills at an advanced level with MS Excel
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing internal relationships and collaboration with others to meet common goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working cross functionally and managing different stakeholder needs
